Kurt has come and gone between school and New York. Using his ability to teleport up to three miles a time to exit into the backwoods and down to the city, giving him access to still work with his board of directors without any association with the school to keep the two distinct and it unknown that he is this far upstate, or at least out of the city this far.

Yet, as history courses are going well, and he remains unaware of any other activity other than schooling at the school, he sends a message requesting to meet with Emma at her earliest convenience. It is made manually, a letter request, from within the school as if needing to keep it that way and out of his e-mail or phone. Likewise up until the meeting, he has stopped bringing phones and other devices with him. When he gets the response she will meet him, he makes sure he is dressed in a nice business blazer, comfortable metro-style business shirt, casual but well presented with long sleeves, and slacks. Arriving on time with a knock on the door (him, or her assistant if she has one?).

Here at the school, Emma Grace Frost does not bother with an assistant; mostly that is a holdover from the example set by Xavier when he was Headmaster here, but it is also because she honestly has felt no need for one. Truth be told, the school is not that large. But the other side of that is that the school survives, lives and breathes on advanced technology. Classes are taught and administered on state of the art systems. Students are issued advanced StarkPads as standard equipment. Textbooks are issued as ebooks. And so forth. A paper memo is rather unorthodox.

Nevertheless, Emma responds in kind, though she makes no attempt to hide the appointment, its invitee list, or its subject from her own electronic schedule; she is far too busy for such foolishness as all of that.

Kurt's knock upon the door is greeted rather casually, all things considered, with the light brush of Emma's mind upon the blue-furred teacher's. « Enter, Herr Wagner. » This time, she makes no attempt to open the door for him, or cycle the psionically-receptive waldo that can unlock, unlatch and swing open the door for her, either.

Emma simply remains seated at her desk, tapping away on her keyboard as she handles this or that bit of electronic administrivia. "Please, have a seat." she offers, not yet looking up. Two more seconds, then three, and she does at last, fingers folding together in front of her as she waits for him to be comfortable before inquiring, "How may I be of assistance?"

If not for working with Charles, that mind intrusion might be odd for him, and yet Kurt trusts the people around him and when Emma calls to him, he nods and opens the door for himself. Crossing towards where the seat is offered, letting her finish, crossing to the chair as she finishes. That when she is done and assking how she may help, he is sitting in the seat.

Sitting back just a little he says, "This is a tough one, I fear. As you may know," he doesn't want to presume, but she of all people would be aware at least, "I've been working out of New York, to keep to my regular life without going off the grid at the school. But I've met some company recently and honestly, I'm a little worried about how intrusive they can be."

Folding his own hands on his lap, more demure at present. "It seems I've been interacting with SHIELD agents of late, they are interested in my abilities, proposed that they could use me on some space mision to Mongo. As much as I believe they mean well, I am worried at how much they are watching me, more for the safety of the school and the students."

To say that Emma has a masterful poker face is of course an understatement. She shows none of her consternation or upset. But that does not mean it is not there. She had been of course rather concerned about Kurt's forays outside the school, but it never would have occured to her to restrict his movements; he is an adult, after all, assumed to be responsible enough to handle himself and his own business, and to keep anything away from the school that might endanger its mission or the children under her care. But it seems he has not managed that as well as she would have liked, and it leaves a roiling boil of fury, fear and exasperation in the pit of her stomach as she confronts this.

"I … see." Emma offers, in an outwardly cool, dispassionate, even bitterly cold tone of voice. "So now, agents of an international espionage organization have become aware of you, your abilities, and likely or at least potentially, your connections to this school and the students here." THe woman does so love to 'sum up' situations in ways that are inherently unflattering. "That is markedly undesirable, Herr Wagner." she comments wryly.

"I do not know how much the students and other staff have revealed to you. But we have an ongoing concern for the safety and security for the school and our student body." Emma's dispassion gains an ice-cold, steel-hard edge as she continues. "Operatives of a shadow cabal originally funded and assembled by the United States government kidnapped some of our students, and other young metahumans, while they were on leave. I will not bore you with the details. Suffice it to say, they erroneously felt this to be necessary and advisable for the sake of their overall mission, to study metahuman abilities with an eye towards weaponizing them."

"Allies of this school were able to retrieve most of said young people, and several who were not students here are now, expressly because we have taken steps to assure their safety. More than a few billion dollars have been spent to make this school's grounds virtually impenetrable by those not invited." Does Kurt realize how lucky he was not to be vaporized when he arrived on his own at the start of his tenure? "And now you have managed to endanger all of that by inviting further attention."

As point on as she is, Kurt can only nod as she sums up the situation and listen further as she explains the situation involving the children of the school. In fact, his hands unfold and he even cringes a little at the end summary and how she concludes that he invited this. Not quite knowing how lucky he is about beinv vaporized just yet, he lifts a hand.

One finger to be held up, to interject a point it would seem, "This wasn't invited I assure you Fraulein Frost." Unsure if he should say that but wanting to feel less implicated in the matter. "Yet, the sincerity and truth of what you say is exactly why I wanted to come to you. As much as I'm worried they're tailing friends they have found me associating with, I am deeply concerned for this school and the work of Herr Xavier. Not only do I think you should be aware of this to determine an appropriate course of action, I think I recall you mentioning the potential of disguising my appearance. I only ask this because I do so love working with the children and I'd hate to be a dissappointment with out yet having shown my full potential." In part more to his friend Charles as it would seem.

Emma does not say 'I mean no offense'; it would be a lie, frankly, and one she is above using even for politeness' sake. "I beg to differ, Herr Wagner. You operated outside of this school openly, using your abilities and associating with people you did not know. You made a conscious choice to do this, whatever your reasons. When you were suggested as an educator here, you were made aware that this school does not advertise, and given the school policies you are tasked with assisting enforcement of, one assumes you were also keenly aware of the strictures placed on students regarding their activities away from the school and allowing any of that to reflect back here. Yet you did not take further precautions. Whatever your intent, you had the information available to you to make another choice, and decided against that."

That said, however, further tongue-lashing will not solve this problem. And Emma is all about solutions. "I will need the names - such as you know them - and descriptions of these individuals. Obviously, further measures will have to be taken." What measures? Apparently, she doesn't consider Kurt cleared for that information at this time.

"To address your other point of concern," Emma continues, "certain additional arrangements can be made. Means of proper disguise, secured electronics, and additional travel methods can be made available, and you can be properly trained in their use. Nevertheless, I would first caution you to in the future fully consider the implications of revealing yourself, or trusting others outside this school with information about who you are, where you come from, your life before now, or anything about this school or those you know here."

He sits still, despite his earlier cringe, as Emma addresses him. "I have made precautions, they are not following me here. I was under the impression that Charles," first name basis with his friend, "Explained, I am also on the board of my families' enterprises. I don't know if I can maintain complete hiding and still be around as a face in that regard without raising more suspicion." More for her to chew on.

He shifts a little, lifting a leg to set it over the other, nothing too flexibly odd, but normal foot over knee. "Three Agents know of me, I don't know which has taken the most interest. Agents Barton, Romanov and one calling himself Blackout." He's not questioning the measures, but assuming its not too bad either.

"As for the appearance and secure electronics, and even travel. That would be appreciated, Blackout is the only one tht can follow me when I travel and its by proxmity with his ability to teleport as well. The appearance and electronics at the top of my list. But, if what they tell me is true, this might not matter in a few days, I would still like to volunteer to help them on this mission to a place called Mongo, they are the ones sending meteors and those golden robot things against earth …"

Office 1 - Xavier Mansion
This is a generous sized office. The lower half of the walls are a burnished blonde wainscoting with the upper half decorated with a pale blue multi-hued colored textured wallpaper. Covering the floor is a plush carpet that matches the wallpaper.

Tasteful landscape paintings hang in a cluster on the right wall and against the wall to the left is an eggshell white fabric-covered sofa with another painting hung above depicting the New York City skyline.

In front of the office door are a couple of wingback chairs in eggshell white that face a gleaming neo-modern chrome and glass desk on which sits a holographic projection monitor and other desk things. Behind the desk is a white leather chair and a broad credenza decorated with plants, personal photos and books, beneath the wide window to the outside, flanked by two hutch tops.
