Origin

Spectral doesn't talk much about his origins, though he does say that he was given his powers by someone far wiser and stronger than him.

Psyche

Basically David/Spectral is all about being the good guy. He is dedicated to that mindset and practices for what he says is a coming war.

Reputation

On the Civillian Front, David Castiglione isn't really that well known. He owns an Italian Bakery, affectionately called "The Bake" which serves homemade Italian breads and sandwiches. He isn't very vocal in any real political fronts, though if you pay attention you'll see him at the marriage equality protests and then of course Metropolis Pride events.

Spectral On the other hand is a tad bit more noticable. With his powers shifting from every color in the rainbow it's hard not to notice him. While he hasn't taken part in any major world saving events, he has been there to stop some banks from being robbed, a few kidnappings and to rescue a fair number of misguided kittens from trees. He is currently unaffiliated with any of the major teams out there, but that doesn't mean he wants to stay that way, as expressed in a newspaper article quote.
